Robert Whaley Robert is the Managing Partner and founder of Millbrook Partners. Robert has been consulting to senior executives on their human capital and executive search requirements for over 20 years. He has led senior executive level searches across multiple industries, including professional services, financial services, biotechnology, diversified manufacturing and consumer products. With a rich mix of experience as a line executive, a management consultant and an entrepreneur, he brings a pragmatic focus on the strategic fundamentals of corporate change and growth.  His approach to executive search is intensely relationship focused, driven by a relentless determination to exceed expectations and deliver value beyond the specific search mission. Robert founded Millbrook Partners as a vehicle to build a new client value proposition, incorporating executive search, advisory, executive coaching and development. 

Previously Robert was a founding partner of Hunt Howe Partners, one of the most highly regarded boutique search firms in the country.  There he built and led the Professional Services Practice, specializing in senior roles in strategy and corporate development across industries as well as for partners in the management consulting sector. Prior to Hunt Howe, Robert was a Partner at TMP Worldwide, then one of the ‘Top 5’ executive search firms in the world.  His diverse industry and consulting experience includes twelve years with Booz Allen & Hamilton where he consulted to the financial services industry, including internationally.  His final role with the firm was helping to lead implementation of a new global market strategy for the firm, including responsibility for repositioning all worldwide business processes and infrastructure to support a fundamental shift in the business.  During his tenure with the firm, he also spent nearly ten years building the firm’s business in Asia Pacific from a zero base.  Prior to Booz Allen & Hamilton, he was CEO and founder of a computer equipment, software and peripherals company.  He began his career in commercial banking where he held senior corporate finance roles, both domestic and international, with a leading New York money center bank.

Robert earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from College of the Potomac, a pioneer in experimental higher education, and an M.Ed. degree with an emphasis on Organizational Development and Management Theory from the University of Massachusetts  in Amherst.
